I know I’m certainly not the only mom who is guilty of this as there are a lot of us who tend to focus our entire lives on our children once we bring them into this world, so much so that we forget how to be the adults we are. We tend to feel a little guilty about our desire to get away from it all, if only for a little while and focus on ourselves a bit. Of course this doesn’t mean you won’t worry about the well-being of the kids while you’re enjoying what is likely some well deserved “me-time,” so the next best thing is to engage in those activities which make for some fun for the whole family.
Visit a casino & family entertainment venue
The name says it all, doesn’t it? A casino which is specifically branded as a casino & family entertainment venue has it all by way of individual activities for each family member to enjoy, extensively.
Visit a family-friendly holiday resort
In truth those resorts which are more for adults only will be advertised as such, so the likelihood is that any holiday resort you visit has some fun for the whole family.
Go Glamping
A cross between camping and enjoying the comforts and luxuries of a five-star lodging, glamping is a great way to entertain the whole family.
Go see the circus
The days when “the circus came to town” are long since gone, but that privilege has been replaced by that of being able to jump on a plane and within hours find yourself enjoying some of the finest circus entertainment which will definitely be enjoyed by members of the whole family.
Visit a theme park
Disneyland has perhaps firmly established itself in local and national folklore, but that makes for just one of many such venues which have a whole lot of fun awaiting family members of all ages, including adults. In fact, some adults who never got a chance to visit the likes of Disneyland as kids make sure to cross it off their bucket lists now that they can pay for the visit themselves.
Go shopping
Before you roll eyes back and cough out the words “no ways, my husband is never going to enjoy this or even agree to it,” consider what kind of mall you’d be shopping in. Naturally it’d have to be one of those malls which are specifically designed to mirror the family’s all-day shopping with their list of activities on offer, which can include anything from catching a movie (or two), to enjoying a round of putt-putt golf.
Hold a movie night
I’m pretty sure you know by now that movies and even TV shows like animations which are designed for kids aren’t entirely and exclusively designed for them. The instances during which you caught the underlying adult-geared humor while watching a supposed kiddies show should be enough to have you enjoying watching movies which are suitable for the whole family, with the best part about it all being that you can stay in and enjoy your family fun time indoors.
